Information we collect

If you use the enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number if provided, vehicle or model of interest, budget, and any additional information you choose to send. The website provider may also process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as request and device data.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond to you, discuss a possible vehicle search, and take steps you request before entering a service agreement. We may also use limited technical data to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website. We do not sell personal information or use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.

Legal basis

We process enquiry information to take steps at your request before a potential contract and, where a service is agreed, to perform that contract. We rely on legitimate interests to secure and maintain the website. If another purpose requires consent, we will ask for it.

Who receives information

Enquiry messages are sent using Cloudflare’s email service to hello@foundautomotive.co.uk, which forwards to the founder’s Gmail account. Cloudflare and the email provider process information to deliver and store messages. We may share details with a vehicle seller or service provider only when needed for your requested search and, where appropriate, with your knowledge. We do not share enquiry data with advertising networks.

Retention and security

We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond, manage any resulting service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Email copies may remain in the relevant inbox or its backups. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on your circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise a right, contact us using the email above. You can also contact the ICO.

International processing

Our hosting and email providers may process information in other countries. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the relevant provider is responsible for applying an appropriate transfer mechanism.

Cookies and browser storage
